How it works:

ed2go offers courses with the following two learning formats:

Instructor-moderated:

  • Designed for students who prefer a structured learning pace with instructor guidance. Courses feature an instructor-moderated discussion board, so students can interact with the session cohort and ask questions to the instructor.
  • There are no live real-time requirements or meetings.
  • Lessons are released biweekly on Wednesdays and Fridays.
  • Course access is approximately 6 weeks and the estimated time commitment for completion is 24 hours.

Self-guided:

  • Designed for students who prefer to learn at their own pace and are comfortable with self-guidance.
  • There are no live real-time requirements or meetings.
  • Students gain access to all course material, quizzes and the final exam at the time of enrollment.
  • Course access is 3 months and the estimated time commitment for completion is 24 hours.

What can I expect from an ed2go online course?

While content will vary depending on the subject, all ed2go courses feature instructional text and a final exam. Many courses also include supplemental learning material, such as assignments, quizzes, audio, video, and infographics.

How it works:

  • The online classroom is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • There are no live real-time requirements or meetings.
  • For the best learning, participants should log into the course on 2-3 different days of the week.
  • Course content and self-quizzes are accessible for the entire course, so you can work ahead or go back and review.
  • Estimated time commitment for completion:
    • One course - 16 hours over 1 month
    • Certificate (3 courses) - 48 hours over 3 months

For each unit you will:

  • Access online readings
  • Listen to an audio presentation for the unit and view the slides
  • Take a self-quiz to see how much you have learned
  • Engage in written online discussion/chat with your instructor and other participants
