Find courses in your zone

Please answer two quick questions to see summer school courses available to you.

How to specify your current/upcoming High School:

  • Students finishing Grades 9-11: Indicate the high school you are registered to attend in the upcoming 2025-26 school year.
  • Students finishing Grade 12 and Metro mature student: Indicate the high school you attended in the previous 2024-25 school year.
  • Students finishing Grades 9-11 who are NOT registered to attend an Edmonton Public School in the 2025-26 school year: In the high school dropdown below, select "Non-returning Grade 9-11 student"

Important notes

  • The Metro team will verify your choice for accuracy and eligibility. Classes will appear based on the school you specify here. If you are not eligible to take the class, you will be withdrawn from the class with no notice. The $60 program fee is non-refundable.
  • Students with administrative flags (expulsion, superintendent directed transfer) for the 2024-25 school year include summer school registrations, and must register according to the superintendent's decision and direction.

Science 15

In Competencies in Science, students have the opportunity to develop and enhance their skills in the practices of science. For some students who may struggle to make sense of science due to gaps in previous learning, this course allows them more time to develop their ability to problem solve, make evidence-based decisions, and obtain, evaluate and communicate information in a logical manner. Students in Competencies in Science will practice effective communication and making meaning of scientific text, which is intended to help them in their journey towards scientific literacy. The overall aim of Competencies in Science is to deepen students’ knowledge and skills in order to build a strong foundation for success in Science 10, other high school science courses and post-secondary programs.
