Soapstone Carving for Beginners

What better way to pay tribute to a beloved Canadian icon than by carving it in stone? Beginner and intermediate carvers are invited to join local soapstone artist Kay McCormack to learn how to carve a grizzly bear. You will plan your bear, practise the correct and safe use of hand tools and tackle the challenge of thinking in three dimensions. Under Kay’s guidance, discover the thrill of watching your creation emerge from stone. Tools/materials will be provided. Materials: $60
