LINC Program

Language Instruction for Newcomers

Study English, learn about living in Canada and make new friends. LINC is free to all newcomers (permanent residents and refugees) to Canada who are not yet Canadian citizens. LINC is offered by Metro in five levels, from CLB 1 to CLB 5. You will receive language training, orientation to the community, Canadian cultural experiences, and assistance in helping you develop the skills you need to live in a Canadian community.

Important information

Before registering in a LINC class you need to have your language assessed by LARCC (Language Assessment, Referral & Counselling Centre).

To participate in the online program, you will require internet access and access to technology such as a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, iPad or similar device.

At this time, Metro does not offer evening or weekend LINC classes.
